Additional Funding for Clinical Education & Training Hours
In addition to serving as a vital lifeline for underserved and rural communities, our FQHCs, Free and Charitable Clinics, Community Practice Sites, and Rural Hospitals play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. By offering clinical rotations and shadowing opportunities, these sites introduce students to community-based care as a meaningful, viable, and rewarding career path.
Additional funding is available for sites that offer:
- Clinical student rotations
- High school student shadowing opportunties
Clinical Education & Shadowing Hour Requirement
To be eligible, sites must meet the following criteria:
- Provide documented proof of at least 250 clinical education and/or shadowing hours.
- Volunteer hours must reflect activity between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025.
Documentation Requirements
Documentation should be uploaded as an excel spreadsheet and contain the following information:
- Student name
- Education type (Clinical Rotation or Shadowing)
- School name
- School contact (Clinical Coordinator or Teacher)
- Site name
- County
- Total hours of service
